Viewing Brooklyn on a Very Full Stomach

“An exclusive history and gastronomy lesson complete with Brooklyn Bridge views, cultural enlightenment, an education on the immigrant experience and delicious & filling foods from around the world.” This is the very accurate description taken right from the website for the Best of Brooklyn Half Day Food and Cultural Tour.

This tour was fantastic! I really can not stress how much I loved this tour! It is a little pricey but it’s worth it. We started the tour with a short walk through Greenwich Village where we were introduced to our fablous guide. She took us to Katz’s Deli and Russ & Daughters. Then we hoped on the bus and crossed the bridge!

We traveled into Brooklyn and stopped for tastings at 4 different establishments. As you know, I am a picky eater (but I love food!) and I can honestly say that this food was beyond expectations.

We had a picnic in Sunshine park, explored Dumbo, ate chocolates at Jacques Toures and learned about Brooklyn’s immigrant culture. Our tour group was kept small (12) so we were forced to talk and get to know everyone. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and organized and she worked hard to make sure everyone felt included. An added bonus of the tour is that the bus will drop you off at the Brooklyn Bridge if you want to walk back across to Manhattan. This was a great way to spend an afternoon in Brooklyn.
